"My research focuses on health economics issues in low income countries. I have a keen interest in financial incentives, impact evaluation,
the economic consequences of ill health, and equity in health financing. My PhD research evaluated the impact of financial incentives for maternal
health on health seeking and mortality in Nepal, and I am now evaluating Nepal's free maternal health care policy. I have also developed methods
for tracking external aid to maternal, newborn and child health, which are used by the Countdown to
2015 initiative."
